Early Childhood Learning and Development
During the first few years of a child’s life, their brains develop quickly. More than 1 million new neural connections form every second. By starting early, you and others who care for your child can help set them up for a lifetime of learning.
Child First-family support 
Child First is a national, evidence-based, two-generation model that works with very challenged young children and families, providing intensive, mental-health, home-visiting services.

Triple P Parenting Support
Triple P, the Positive Parenting Program, is here to help you meet your parenting goals. Triple P will help you learn new skills. Whether you want a quick tip on how to handle a specific issue, some practical answers to common everyday parenting concerns or help with more complex family issues, a trained practitioner can tailor Triple P to suit your needs.
 
Triple P can help you find ideas to handle challenging behaviors including temper tantrums, disobedience, homework and chores and more. Triple P helps take the guesswork out of parenting!
Early Childhood Consultation Partnership-family/childcare support
The Early Childhood Consultation Partnership (ECCP®) is a strengths-based, mental health consultation program, developed to meet the social/emotional needs of children birth to five. ECCP® is designed to build the capacity of caregivers by offering support, education, and consultation, which promotes the most enduring and optimal outcomes for young children.
HEALTHY FUTURES
Healthy Futures is a Middlesex county based, in-home program in partnership with Middlesex Health and the Connecticut Community Doulas, LLC.
Healthy Futures is designed to help new and expecting parents learn the power of nurturing relationships, recognize their child’s strengths and potential, foster skills for school readiness, monitor child development, and access supportive services and resources in their own community.
CFA’s certified Healthy Futures Parent Educators have been trained to advise families regarding their child’s brain development, parental support, and assist with parenting questions or concerns. In collaboration with Connecticut Community Doulas, Healthy Futures will also provide monthly educational and support groups for expectant parents and one-on-one prenatal or postnatal support.
New or expecting parents and families with children, birth – 5 years old, are eligible to participate. There are no fees for services. Healthy Futures referrals should be submitted to healthyfutures@childandfamilyagency.org
